1980's Pearl CH-02 Chorus MIJ Japan Vintage Effects Pedal
Pearl CH-02 Chorus
Yep, the drum brand made pedals!
The Pearl CH-02 was an analog chorus released in the 1980's by Pearl and is part of the Sound Spice series. Pearl pedals were built in Japan by a company called KLM (much like Ibanez pedals were built by Maxon) and were engineered to include some very innovative features for this era.
The CH-02 uses the MN3207/3102 combination and incorporates a longer delay time than most chorus pedals of the era, matching the famous Boss CE-1.
The Tone knob acts as a tone control for the wet signal (not the dry tone), the Depth knob controls the amount of modulation, the Speed knob controls the chorus speed and Mix Balance controls the ratio of wet/dry signal, allowing for settings all the way from a subtle wobble to removing the dry signal completely to create a vibrato.
Good shape for a vintage pedal. Works perfectly.
