1980's Pearl CE-22 Chorus Ensemble Vintage MIJ Japan Effects Pedal
Pearl CE-22 Chorus/Vibrato
The Pearl CE-22 was an analog chorus released in the 1980's by Pearl and is part of the Sound Choice series. Pearl pedals were built in Japan by a company called KLM (much like Ibanez pedals were built by Maxon) and were engineered to include some very innovative features for this era.
The CE-22 was released to upgrade the Boss CE-1, which was discontinued a few years earlier. The CE-22 provides beautiful chorus tones (much like the CE-1) alongside a vibrato that is just as good as the Boss VB-2 in every way. The Vibrato Delay footswitch functions similarly to the "latch" setting on a VB-2, allowing for a ramping vibrato tone that is incredibly hard to replicate.
The Pearl CE-22 is one of the best dual chorus/vibrato pedals the world has ever seen.
Great shape for a vintage pedal. Works perfectly.
