1980s Maxon OD-01 The Driver Distortion/Overdrive MIJ Japan Effects Pedal
"From Maxon's "Zero-One" series circa mid to late 80s. Japanese market only. Made in Japan. It includes switchable overdrive and distortion modes with the toggle at the top of the pedal. Think of it as a low gain/high gain switch."
"Overdrive mode is a dead ringer for an 808 (Tubescreamer in Ibanez parlance) type overdrive: a midrangey, smooth, compressed saturation. Distortion mode is similar to an SM-9 -- an 808 with a big boost. Both sound sweet. Uses a standard Boss style 9V adapter."
