1980 Yamaha PulserBass400 Precision Bass (Made in Japan)

Reverb.com described the Yamaha Pulser Bass series in an article about "Hidden Bass Gems of the 80's and 90's", here's an excerpt:

"Produced in the 1980s, the Yamaha Pulser basses were more or less direct clones of a Fender P bass from the 1970s. Many of these basses utilized and ash/maple body and neck combination, equipped with a classically voiced pickup to match the overall vibe of this bass.

The basses were well put together, and current pricing from $450USD to $550USD make these basses well worth the cost to own. The design is fairly standard and won’t really set you apart in a crowd, but for anyone seeking a classic-looking and sounding P bass at a reasonable rate, an older Yamaha Pulser is a good one to consider."

Sunburst finish with a maple neck and fingerboard, it's all original with the exception of a brand new output jack. Frets were polished, truss was adjusted and the neck is straight/smooth. Received a setup prior to listing and plays as good as it looks. Weighs 4.25kg's.

This thing wears one of our own "lawsuit" logos on the headstock. We install these on instruments that arrive to us with damaged or previously removed logos and never remove a logo unless it's damaged beyond repair. We try our best to apply the decal in a way that suits the cosmetic condition and feel of the instrument too, so it maintains that famous "lawsuit" look from a distance that older Japanese guitars are known for.
