1980 Yamaha Japan SG-1000 Vintage Electric Guitar (Cherry Sunburst)
Since its debut in 1974, the Yamaha SG has been the choice of some of the most influential guitarists. From its rich tone and long sustain to its outstanding playability and stunning design, all of its signature characteristics have stood the test of time, remaining relevant to this day.
This is an early 1980's Yamaha SG-1000 model in Cherry Sunburst and was designed as a professional quality Les Paul slayer. Plain maple top and a mahogany back with a three-piece maple neck and ebony fingerboard (22 frets), weighs 4.3kg's.
All original hardware and electronics (including the original pickups and push/pull tone pots for coil splitting). Received a professional setup and service prior to listing including a small paint touch-up around the binding on the neck as pictured, smooth to the touch with no impact on playing. Frets are shiny and have plenty of life, neck is straight and smooth.
If you're a Les Paul person and want to try something familiar but a little different then this is the ticket!
