1980 Yamaha Japan BB2000 PJ Broad Bass 2000 Neckthrough (Natural)
The cream of the Yamaha crop from the early 1980's, the BB2000 Broad Bass was a Japanese classic. Neckthrough construction (maple and mahogany) with a solid alder body, weighs a meaty 4.6kg's. Diecast adjustable bridge and heavy duty machine heads, the BB2000 (as the catalog describes) "features a powerful bar-magnet single-coil rear pickup that can be used in combination with the split front pickup or independently for exceptionally crisp, funky sound".
This bass is no joke and has been well kept over the years. Seemingly all original except for the tone pot and capactor (now a Sprague Orange Drop). Has a few honest dings here and there from nearly 40 years of seemingly home/studio use, otherwise is in great cosmetic and playing condition.
