1980 Fernandes FST-80 Custom Order Stratocaster (Nitro) w/Schallers and Dimarzio
Description:
One of the highest end Fernandes model of 1980 (and it shows!). This one appears to be a custom order made by Fernandes for either a customer or a store. Factory loaded with Schaller machine heads and a Beck scratchplate/switching loadout, it's got a rare nitro finish on a "furniture-burst" finish. Maple neck has a nice thin C profile, loaded with the original "fretless wonder" style frets and weighs 3.6kg's.
This one has been well kept over the years and shows only a few basic signs of use, seems to be all original except for the aftermarket Dimarzio Super Distortion (and the added humbucker routing to the body) that was installed in the 80's. Frets were polished and play well and the truss is functional.
