1980 Fantom Swinging Bass JB-300S
One of the many brands that Matsumoku was making guitars for in the 70's and 80's, the Fantom Swinging Bass is a unique take on the Fender Jazz Bass design (while still retaining the classic Fender style logo that many of these Japanese guitars flaunted!).
Maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard, unique jazz bass style pickups with a big booming output, dual volume knobs and a master tone control. The catalog says these were made for hard-rock and you can really hear it, great for most modern music!
This is a great option for someone looking for a quality vintage bass guitar that won't break the bank.

Good condition. Some marking to the paint/finish but nothing major. Seemingly all original, missing bridge and pickup covers.
Frets have plenty of life left in them and play very smooth.
All original and functioning well.
