1980 Aria Pro II (Matsumoku) PE-R60 Les Paul (Japan Brown)
The PE series was an attempt to modernise the Les Paul shape and style and the Matsumoku factory put a lot of effort into making these to the best quality possible. Made in Japan in the early 1980's, this is the first iteration of the PE-R60 model and wears a "Japan Brown" burst finish with cream binding.
Weighs 4kg's and the catalog indicates that they're made with a carved maple top and mahogany back along with a rosewood fingerboard (diamond inlays). Protomatic III pickups with Les Paul style wiring and two "dual sound" toggles.
Great cosmetic and playing condition with only one notable ding on the top as pictured. Plays nicely as it sits and received a basic setup and service prior to being listed. Appears to be all original.
