1979 Yamaha Japan SC800 Super Combinator Stratocaster (Persimmon Red)
The Super Combinator series were first made in the late 1970's by Yamaha and were named after the 13 possible pickup configurations available from the three single coil pickups each with their own three-way toggle. Stratocaster style alder body with a transparent red finish bolted to a maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.8kg's.
This one has been professionally routed to accommodate a Stratocaster style tremolo system, otherwise it appears all original. Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing, vintage frets are smooth with life left and the neck is straight with an adjustable truss.
