1979 Tokai Japan ST-42 Springy Sound Stratocaster (Scalloped)
Made in Japan by Tokai in 1979, this ST-42 Springy Sound is a sneaky shredders dream. Designed to replicate the Fender '54 model Stratocaster, this one wears a three-tone sunburst finish on a Sen Ash body, maple neck with a vintage U profile and a mega-scalloped fretboard (done by the previous owner). Weighs 3.7kg's.
Seems to be all original inside except for possibly the middle pickup (neck and bridge pickups are U stamped with grey backs), it's got new knobs and Schaller Strap Locks installed. Original Tokai bridge with vintage style "Tokai" stamped saddles and Fender-style tuners. Given a basic setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish, plays nice and smoothly!
