1979 Greco Original GOB700 MIJ Bass (Made in Japan)
Designed in the late 1970's to compete with the Ibanez Musician and Studio series basses, the Greco GOB (Greco Original Bass) series is one of the best kept secrets in the world of Japanese basses.
The body uses ash wings and a maple centre, the neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. This is one of the rarer models with passive pickups (a pair of Maxon bass humbuckers) and a one-piece bridge system. Has some natural patina on the hardware and some minor dings, but has just undergone a full teardown/rebuild/clean/setup and is all original and playing great with a straight neck and plenty of fretlife.
42mm nut width and a 87cm scale length, weighs 4.6kg's (making this is the perfect recording/studio bass!).
