1978 Ibanez Artist Series 2618 (Made in Japan) Vintage Guitar w/Hard Case
The 2618 is part of the Ibanez Artist series and was made in the Japanese Fujigen factory in 1978.
A great competitor to a vintage Gibson, these feature a maple top on a mahogany body with a maple neck and ebony fretboard (with genuine abalone dot inlays). Smooth heel construction combined with a double-cutaway allows for a really nice feel when playing the higher frets. 24 frets with a 628mm scale length. Weighs 4.2kg's.
Loaded stock with "Flying Fingers" Ibanez Super 80 humbuckers and a standard 2v/2t wiring with a three-way toggle, it's got a great high output with power and clarity on tap. high quality hardware including smooth Velve-Tune machine heads and a Gibraltar bridge/tailpiece. Includes the original hardcase.
It's been well kept over the years and shows only basic signs of wear (including the traditional binding crumble in spots that many of these have). Seems to be all original with the exception of maybe 1-2 screws. Restrung prior to listing, plenty of life in the frets with minimal pitting. Plays nicely!
