1978 Greco Japan EG-600P Les Paul Custom Triple Humbucker (Ebony)
Holy heck is this a fun guitar. 4.1kg's of ebony Les Paul with three Maxon humbuckers and beautifully faded cream binding. The EG-600P was a mid-range offering from Greco and has become one of the hardest to find on the used market.
Pancake body, fret binding nubs, split diamond headstock inlay (with the famous open book style), 60's profile neck and just so much class you won't even believe it. These were some of the best true Gibson style guitars coming from Japan in the 70's.
Japanese Gibson-style guitars (like this one) are a great alternative to a modern Gibson/Epiphone. With the hit and miss quality of modern Gibson guitars, a Japanese guitar from the 70's or 80's can prove to be a higher quality instrument that's been played in nicely. Many of these guitars will also cost you a fraction of what a new Gibson will and are also more affordable than a new Epiphone!
