1978 Greco Japan BM-900 Brian May Red Special w/Burns Tri-Sonic Pickups
Made by the Fujigen factory in 1978, the BM-900 Red Special was part of the Greco Project Series of premium guitars made to order by their best builders. Pancake mahogany construction with a slim 60's profile mahogany neck and a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard, weighs 4kg's. Grover tuners and a Gibson style harmonica bridge with a Mustang style tremolo system (missing arm), this one has an aftermarket loaded pickguard with Burns Tri-Sonic pickups and pickup/phase switches much like the original.
Given a basic setup and service prior to listing with a truss adjustment and fretboard oil, plays well and sounds great. Fret are shiny and have life with some light playwear, electronics were flushed and serviced and work perfectly. Has a small crack in the finish between the fretboard and the neck as pictured but no structural damage.
