1978 Aria Pro II Japan FV-550 Flying V (Cherry Red)
Made by the Matsumoku factory in mid 1978, the Aria Pro II FV-550 is one of the rarer models in the catalog and were made in limited numbers. Like many true Flying V replicas from this era, these are highly sought after by both collectors and players due to the huge price difference between them and a Gibson of the same period while still retaining very similar quality.
Cherry red finish on a mahogany body/neck with a rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.1kg's. Plays comfortably and has a real Gibson feel with a full C profile neck with a 12" radius. Loaded with the original T Top humbuckers that sound great, all the wiring and hardware is original except for a new output jack.
This one came to us with an overspray of black and gold on the top that we hit with Acetone and removed as much as we could in a short amount of time. With a bit of muscle you'll be able to remove the rest, but it's not too bad as it sits. Pickguard is still painted. Fretboard was oiled and the frets were polished prior to listing, truss was adjusted and the neck is straight. Some dings on the back of the neck as pictured along with some marks and bumps on the body.
