1977 Greco Japan Les Paul Standard (Sunburst)
Nothing better than a simple, neat and tidy Japanese Les Paul! This is an early 1977 Greco build from the Fujigen factory and features a mahogany body with a maple top and neck and rosewood fingerboard. Slim 60's neck profile with a 43mm nut width make it nice and comfortable to play, chambered construction means it weighs 3.6kg's.
Loaded with an aftermarket neck pickup (unknown model/make) and the original Maxon bridge humbucker, it's also got the original Greco stamped tuners and Japanese made bridge/tailpiece.
Very nice overall cosmetic condition, the finish is glossy and clear with only a few bumps/dings. Has a small hole filled in on the top where it looks like a 5th knob or a toggle switch was once located. Neck is straight, truss is functional, frets were polished and the fretboard was oiled.
Strangely there's no serial number on the headstock, however there's no doubting the legitimacy and the pickup/pots date it to early 1977. It wasn't uncommon for Greco models before 1976 to have no serial numbers so there's no need for concern with this one!
