1976 Greco Japan EG-500 Les Paul Electric Guitar (Brown Sunburst)
One of the golden age Greco LP's. Pancake body with a 2pc flame top and a 3pc maple neck. Total weight of 3.7kg's makes it one of the more manageable offerings from Greco. The specs appear to lead to this being an EG-500, however the tuners are a higher end Greco model, so could be a special order model?
Loaded with the famous Maxon humbuckers, it's all original except for the nut that was damaged (i've dropped in a 1982 Greco nut for the time being that works fine, but a new nut would really make it shine).
Japanese Gibson-style guitars (like this one) are a great alternative to a modern Gibson/Epiphone. With the hit and miss quality of modern Gibson guitars, a Japanese guitar from the 70's or 80's can prove to be a higher quality instrument that's been played in nicely. Many of these guitars will also cost you a fraction of what a new Gibson will and are also more affordable than a new Epiphone!
