1976 Aria Pro II Japan (Matsumoku) ES700SB Semi Hollowbody (Sunburst)
Made by the Matsumoku factory in Japan in mid 1976, the ES700SB was aimed at replicating the Gibson ES-335 semi-hollowbody model with a Trapeze tailpiece. Full Gibson aesthetic with an open book headstock and crown inlay, it's got a semi-hollow construction with a centre block, features a mahogany neck with a slim 60's profile and weighs 3.3kg's. Block inlays and fret edge binding on the rosewood fingerboard with what looks to be a 10" radius.
Loaded with the original Matsumoku T-Top humbuckers and electronics, it's got upgraded Gibson Deluxe tuners. Looks to have had a Bigsby (or similar) installed at some point and has small plugs in the top to fill the screw holes. Seemingly has an aftermarket pickguard. Includes a vintage hardcase.
Good overall condition as pictured with mild signs of use. Frets have plenty of life left and were polished prior to a fretboard oil and restring. Neck has a very slight twist that doesn't impact on playing, truss is turning and functioning.
