1970's Tomson (by Kiso Suzuki) '67 Reissue Schenker Flying V (Made in Japan)
These were mail-order guitars from Japan in the 1970's that were made by the Kiso Suzuki Violin Company. This is a Tomson branded '67 style Flying V in Michael Schenker styled Black/White. These were an entry level model, but have that vintage Japanese charm about them and feature a 628mm scale length bolt on neck (with a chunky round profile) and a slab rosewood fingerboard. Weighs 3.4kg's.
Looks to have Hide X pickups installed (possibly from a Fernandes model), hard to tell whether the finish is factory stock or aftermarket but it looks pretty solid. Tomson logo is faintly visible on the headstock but has been removed.
Good condition for it's age, frets are shiny and have life and neck plays well. Electronics were flushed prior to listing and work as they should. Hairline cracks in the finish at the neckjoint aren't structural and are just cosmetic. Restrung and given a basic setup, good to go!
