1970's Maxon OD-802 D&S II Tubescreamer MIJ Japan Effects Pedal
The OD-802 D&S II was a pedal that led to the creation of the Ibanez Tube Screamer. The OD-802 was the third revision of the D&S II and the first in the larger slanted enclosure.
The OD-802 used a range of IC's including the Malaysian RC4558P and the JRC4558D through their lifespan and share a lot of circuitry with the TS-808 (this one has the Texas Instruments RC4558P). Unlike the OD-801 (which is a modified Big Muff), the OD-802 is more of a conventional overdrive that has a slightly rougher, grittier feel than the later Tube Screamer releases.
Recently serviced by Earthling Designs here in Sydney and works great. Battery door missing and some damage to the enclosure, nothing impacting on the quality though!
