1970's Maxon AD-80 Analog Delay Vintage MIJ Japan Effects Pedal
The Maxon AD-80 was an analog delay released in Japan in the late 1970's. Like many Maxon pedals, there were two editions of the AD-80. The first release came in a small, flat enclosure and the second was the larger "808" style.
The AD-80 uses the famous MN3005 BBD chip to produce around 300ms of warm analog delay and are also capable of self-oscillation at more extreme settings. These are often considered to be the warmer counterpart to the Boss DM-2, however they run on 18v instead of a typical 9v.
The AD-80 was modified and reissued in the mid 00's, however they use a much different circuit.
Good used condition. Standard wear and tear, see pics for more. Has a brand new replacement soft-touch footswitch.
