1970's Japanese Fretless Jazz Bass (Sunburst)
Made in Japan in the mid 1970's, this is a nice heavy fretless Jazz Bass option that weighs in at 4.7kg's. Rosewood fretboard and a maple neck with a sunburst finish on the body for the true Fender aesthetic.
We've given it a basic setup and service prior to listing and it seems close to all original with the exception of a low output pickup being installed in the bridge position. Currently wearing flatwound strings and playing well, truss is functional and was adjusted and the fretboard was oiled.
This thing wears one of our own "lawsuit" logos on the headstock as the original logo was removed by the previous owner. We try our best to apply the decal in a way that suits the cosmetic condition and feel of the instrument too, so it maintains that famous "lawsuit" look from a distance that older Japanese guitars are known for.
