1970's Fresher Japan Vintage Jazz Bass (Sunburst)
Fresher guitars were built in the famous Matsumoto region of Japan throughout the 1970's and were sold by Kyowa (responsible for importing Charvel, Jackson, Takamine etc). This JB is one of the earlier models and obviously takes a liberal amount of inspiration from the Fender models available at the time..
Glossy sunburst finish with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard, weighs in at 4.4kg's and has a 40mm nut width. The headstock logo is a great example of the 70's Fresher logo design, doing everything it can to look like a big American brand without copying them exactly. Fretboard binding and block inlays give it a true 70's look.
Neck pickup is a modern ceramic model, bridge pickup is original. Great combination of high output modern and low output vintage tones.
Good overall condition and plays well as is. Frets have plenty of life in them with some slight choking on the higher frets. Great economy vintage buy!
