1970’s Fresher Japan Les Paul Standard (Brown Sunburst)
Fresher guitars were built in the famous Matsumoto region of Japan throughout the 1970's and were sold by Kyowa (responsible for importing Charvel, Jackson, Takamine etc).
This is a Les Paul Standard model modified into a simple rocker. Mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard, weighs 3.5kg’s. It’s had the neck pickup taped over and disconnected (it’s still in the cavity and will work if it’s rewired) and the bridge pickup was replaced with an unbranded Super Distortion style humbucker.
Restrung and serviced prior to listing, vintage frets were polished and play well with some life left. A great entry into the vintage Japanese guitar market!
