1960's Maya EG-2 Vintage Electric Guitar (Made in Japan)
Made in Japan in the 1960's, this is one of those countless quirky models that are just as fun today as they were back then. Found in the Maya catalog, the EG-2 was their lightweight and compact 2-pickup model and seems to be a thin mahogany body with a smooth maple neck and rosewood fingerboard (21 frets, 628mm scale length). Weighs only 2.6kg's!
Two single coil pickups with individual on/off slider switches and a master volume/tone control. Great vintage sound that can be wound up to some super fun modern tones with the right fuzz!
Received a professional rebuild and setup prior to listing. Plays well with a smooth low action. Tremolo arm missing but the system is still functional if you can come up with a replacement. Stickers on the body/headstock could be removed.
