2000's Tokai Japan 5-String Jazz Bass (Sunburst)
Made by the Tokai factory in Japan somewhere in the 2000's, this 5-string Jazz Bass came to us from the new owners of Tokai during there warehouse clearance in 2021 where they unearthed loads of prototypes and factory seconds. Looks to be an alder body with a three-tone sunburst finish (no pickguard holes drilled), 20 fret rosewood fingerboard on a maple neck (43mm nut width), it weighs a beefy 4.6kg's. Looks to be all original as pictured.
Good overall condition with a few dings on the back from where it sat in the warehouse, we gave it a full teardown and clean prior to listing along with a truss adjustment and fretboard oil. Bridge pickup isn't working but the neck pickup has a great output and tone.
