1997 Fender Japan TL67-80SPL Telecaster/Esquire (Sunburst)
Made by the Tokai factory in 1997, this is a heavily modified Fender TL67-80SPL was originally made to replicate Keith Richards' famous telecaster as an unofficial "signature model". White ash body with a U profile maple neck (7.25" radius, 21 vintage frets), it weighs just under 4kg's.
Loaded with an aftermarket Wilkinson Alnico V bridge pickup and a replacement pickguard to cover the original neck pickup slot (routed for a humbucker), it's wired with full sized pots and a pair of Sprague orange drop capacitors for three-way esquire switching. Original brass bridge and Gotoh tuners.
Heavily worn cosmetic condition (mainly on the top of the body) with plenty of signs of visual wear and tear as pictured. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts freely, the frets show a light amount of wear but were polished and play smoothly.
