1993 Fender Japan ST57G-65 Custom Edition 57 Reissue Stratocaster (Charcoal Red)
Made in Japan as part of the "Custom Edition" catalog in 1993, the ST57G-65 was a Fujigen built '57 reissue with some "custom shop" style factory upgrades. American Basswood body wearing a transparent "Charcoal Red" finish (Fender Japan's method for accentuating some of the grain), one-piece maple neck with a slim '57 profile (7.25" radius, 648mm scale length), it weighs 3.5kg's.
The G at the end of the model number signifies the gold hardware including a diecast block bridge, vintage style tuners and Fender stamped saddles (although these seem to have been replaced with chrome ones). Loaded with the original factory ST-VINTAGE alnico single coils with what looks to be one replacement pickup cover on the neck pickup.
Decent used condition as pictured with some notable cosmetic damage to the finish as pictured. Restrung and given a basic service prior to listing. Truss works well and the frets were polished, they have life left and play smoothly with some pitting and playwear, pots were flushed and lubed and the jack was cleaned.
