1984 Ibanez Japan Roadstar II RS400 Vintage Electric Guitar (Black)
The RS400 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1983.
The RS400 features a birch top on an arched basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez humbucking pickups mounted in chrome pickup rings with Duo Sound coil-split functionality for the bridge pickup, a tremolo bridge, knurled Tek Grip control knobs and Smooth Tuner II tuning machines.
The initial model for 1983 had the Hard Rocker Pro two-point synchronized tremolo. This was replaced for 1984 with the new Pro Rock'r double locking tremolo with a string lock behind the nut. Also for 1984 the V2 pickups were replaced by blade style V5 pickups.
Used cosmetic condition with plenty of cosmetic ageing as pictured. Locking component is missing (currently functioning as a string tree) and the knobs have been replaced. Received a full setup and service prior to listing, plays and sounds great.
