1994 Fender Japan ST54-70AS Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Stratocaster
Made in Japan in 1994 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Stratocaster, the ST54-70AS is a celebratory '54 reissue in a very pretty transparent blonde finish. Ash body with a soft V profile maple neck (7.25" radius), the neck had the iconic "FotoFlame" laminate finish sanded down to satin smooth as it was peeling in spots and now it actually feels great in the hand. Loaded with the original Fender Japan ST-Vintage alnico pickups, it appears all original. Weighs 4kg's.
Good used overall cosmetic condition as pictured with light wear and tear and a few chips to the finish. Given a full professional service prior to listing including a fret polish, truss adjustment, electronics flush and setup. The remaining Fotoflame on the neck was clamped and reglued so it's stable. Frets have some light wear but are polished and play well, the neck is straight.
