1980 Greco Japan JG-700 "Super Real" Jaguar Electric Guitar MIJ (Sunburst)
Made in Japan by the Fujigen factory just before Fender signed their contract to start the Fender Japan branch, the JG-700 is one of the most highly sought after models from the Greco company. The JG and JM models were only made for a very short time in the early 80's (around 6 months) and were built to Fender quality. More pics available on our website.
Three-piece ash body with a maple neck and a thin rosewood fingerboard, it weighs just under 4kg's. All original wiring and electronics with the versatility that you'd expect from a vintage Jaguar, 610mm scale length has that tight feel that really pops. Includes the original tremolo arm (not pictured).
Good overall condition with plenty of signs of use. Frets were polished and the fretboard was oiled prior to listing along with a wiring lube and flush. Has some thick paint stress cracks in the neck pocket as pictured but no structural damage to be seen on the inside or outside, the pocket is rock solid. The nut was replaced by the previous owner as pictured.
Please note these were part of the "Super Real" series, although for some reason only the "Super" text appeared on the headstock of all of these models.
