1986 Fender Japan PW-1 Phoenix Electric Acoustic Guitar
Japanese made in 1986, this is one of the incredibly rare Phoenix series of acoustic guitars released by Fender. The PW-1 is a classy modern acoustic with some sharp horns on the body and a 6IL Stratocaster style headstock, loaded with the Fender Ultima Sound preamp system so it sounds as good plugged in as it does acoustically. Plain top with a lightly flamed back and sides, 648mm scale length rosewood fingerboard, weighs 2.2kg's. 40.5cm lower bout with a slimline 7.5cm body depth gives it a rich sound while still remaining comfortable.
Received a professional setup and service prior to listing, plays great with a smooth low action and shiny frets. Neck is straight and the truss works as it should, has an aftermarket pickguard (easily removable) otherwise it's all original.
