1996 G&L Japan L-2000 Tribute Custom "Slim Neck" Bass (Black)
One of the desirable Japanese made models from G&L made in 1996, the L-2000 Tribute Custom "slim neck" was created for those who prefer a J-style neck over the traditional L-2000 profile. Gloss black finish on a weighty ash body, maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 4.5kg's. 39mm nut width with a 34" scale length.
Loaded with the standard L-2000 electronics loadout featuring Vol, Treble, Bass knobs, a 3-way pickup switch, a Series/Single Coil/Parallel switch and a Passive/Active/Treble Boost switch, if you can't find a sound you like here then you probably shouldn't be playing bass.
Very clean overall condition as pictured with some wear to the finish and frets, given a basic restring and service prior to listing, straight neck and a fully functional truss with plenty of life in the frets. Pots were flushed but still have some slight crackle when turned (mainly due to the active circuitry). Appears all original.
