1989 Rockoon Japan (by Kawai) KRB-55PJ Bass (See Through Brown)
"Rockoon is the high performance guitar created by the skilled and uncompromising craftsmanship of Kawai". Essentially these are the boutique style range from Kawai (in collaboration with Schaller) that were made in Japan in the 80's and 90's.
The KRB-55PJ features a US white ash body with a hard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard (34” scale length, 24 frets), and weighs 3.8kg’s. Loaded with factory Schaller PJ-X pickups along with an active EQ circuit (1Vol, 1 Bal, 2 Tone) and a Schaller bridge.
This one has a slightly tight truss that seems to still have some life left, it plays reasonably well as it sits. Fretboard was oiled and the frets were polished prior to listing.
